STEM Morning

Our Year 4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic STEM morning at Welland Park Academy last week.
Working collaboratively in teams, the children designed and built their own moving moon vehicles, using elastic potential energy to power them. After testing their creations, they evaluated what had worked well and discussed how they could improve their designs, thinking carefully about why some vehicles were more successful than others.
It was a brilliant opportunity to develop teamwork, problem-solving and engineering skills in a fun and practical way.
A huge thank you to Welland Park Academy for hosting such an inspiring event, and to the wonderful Year 9 students who were kind, patient and incredibly supportive throughout the morning.
We may have some future engineers and scientists in the making.
