What a fantastic day of fun, focus and friendly competition!

Children across Key Stage 2 enjoyed a thrilling Axe Throwing Experience Day with the team from Super Star Sports. Using specially designed soft axes, the children learnt the skills needed to hit targets, score points and improve their accuracy before putting their new talents to the test in an exciting competition.

There was plenty of enthusiasm, determination and cheering as the children discovered a sport that was completely new to many of them. Most importantly, they learnt that axe throwing can be safe, fun and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

We were incredibly fortunate to be one of only a handful of schools in Leicestershire selected to receive this fully funded session through Super Star Sports' ‘Fitter Active Schools Programme’, which aims to help primary-aged children become fitter, healthier and more active through exciting sporting experiences.

The children absolutely loved trying something different and embracing a brand-new challenge.
