What an incredible three days our Year 5 and 6 pupils had at Beaumanor Hall last week.

 A trip of teamwork, friendship, encouragement and plenty of laughter. It really was a residential to remember.

Over the three days, the children threw themselves into an amazing range of activities, with many trying something completely new for the very first time. From bridge building and survival skills to archery, land buggies and canoeing, every challenge was met with enthusiasm, resilience and determination.

A residential trip is about so much more than the activities. It's about building confidence, making new friendships, supporting one another and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Watching the children encourage each other, celebrate successes and simply enjoy being together was something very special.

 We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Miss Southam, Mrs Fellows, Mrs Moss and, of course, Mrs Blagburn for making this residential possible. Spending time away from their own families, helping children settle at bedtime, comforting those who felt homesick or nervous, administering medication, and being there day and night is an enormous responsibility.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have a team of staff who not only give up their own time, but fully embrace every aspect of the experience to ensure our children have the very best opportunities. Your care, enthusiasm and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do. We hope every child had an unforgettable time. We suspect there were some very tired children (and perhaps a few even more tired adults) by the time everyone arrived home on Friday evening.
