STEM Conference

Our Key Stage 2 pupils enjoyed an inspiring Saturday at last month’s STEM Conference, exploring the exciting worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Throughout the day, the children took part in three hands-on workshops, trying activities such as building catapults and helicopters, powering vehicles with balloons, using microscopes, exploring π (pi), and investigating light. Miss Southam also led a creative and fascinating workshop on chromatography, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

The pupils were equally inspired by the guest speakers – including a science teacher from Robert Smyth Academy and a speaker from the University of Leicester, who shared fascinating insights about space.

A huge thank you to Robert Smyth Academy and the incredible volunteers, including Miss Southam and Mrs Cave, for making this fantastic event possible.

We definitely have some budding scientists, inventors and mathematicians in our midst!
